Saimoe 2008 Semi-final statistics (‘I hate statistics’ edition)

This blog officially supports Chihiro... I think.

I didn’t give many coverages (or maybe none?) to Saimoe 2008.

However!

I got bored tonight and checks the numbers, from series perspective.

Here are the semi-final contenders:

  1. 4 characters from a series: Clannad (Ibuki Fuuko, Fujibayashi Kyou, Sakagami Tomoyo, Furukawa Nagisa)
  2. 3 characters from a series:
    • Minami-ke (Minami Haruka, Minami Kana, Minami Chiaki)
    • Lucky Star (Izumi Konata, Hiiragi Kagami, Hiiragi Tsukasa)
  3. 2 characters from a series:
    • Seto no Hanayome (Seto San, Edomae Luna)
    • Higurashi Kai (Hanyuu, Ryuugu Rena)
    • Hidamari Sketch (Hiro, Miyako)
    • Hayate no Gotoku! (Sanzenin Nagi, Katsura Hinagiku)
    • Nanoha StrikerS (Takamachi Nanoha, Yagami Hayate)
    • Bamboo Blade (Chiba Kirino, Kawazoe Tamaki)
  4. 1 character from a series:
    • To Love-Ru (Yuuki Mikan)
    • Shugo Chara! (Hinamori Amu)
    • Shakugan no Shana (Shana)
    • Question Fairy (Hatena Yousei)
    • sola (Morimiya Aono)
    • ARIA (Mizunashi Akari)
    • ef – a tale of memories (Shindou Chihiro)
    • true tears (Isurugi Noe)
    • Nagasarete Airantou (Suzu)
    • Sky Girls (Ichijou Eika)

Striked names mean defeated.

Clannad, as expected, going strong by having 4 (freakin four) characters (heroines) survived up to semi-final. I didn’t expect Bamboo Blade to be this powerful though o_o Add the fact that Luna was defeated by Kirino. San losing doesn’t help either though (which results in RIP Seto no Hanayome – in one day I may add).

And Question Fairy… from what I can find, it is an anime which come from a DVD (education one, I think). Talk about irony (NSFW).
