After completing this (so-called) guide, I found that it’s too long and too FreeBSD-specifics.
So I decided to write a more generic documentation. This page is generalization from previous guide. And this article is:
- Much more informative than current INSTALL
- Translated version of INSTALL.debian (with exception for mongrel etc)
- Simplified edition of my previous guide
- Much like older version of INSTALL which was rather informative but for some reason get extra-simplified to the degree not informative at all (except for pointing to INSTALL.debian)
This documentation assumes you will be using Unicorn and nginx.
Warning: this post is kind of outdated. Even though there’s no problem using it I don’t recommend following this any more.
Danbooru is basically a web gallery software with its main advantage in its advanced tagging system.
However, it’s written in one of modern programming language (and not specifically designed for web) Ruby, with bunch of additional “Gems” and using not-so-commonly-used PostgreSQL. Add the fact that it’s using its own image resizing library, and you’ll get a web software that’s “not intended to be installed by someone with weak heart.” (quoting from its old INSTALL page)
Fret not! In this article I’ll explain installation of Danbooru, esp. on FreeBSD, and be as detailed as possible.
And from scratch.
This comparison is not really fair from my POV since I only fully use and manage FreeBSD for like several months with its latest version only 2 weeks or so when I have used OpenBSD for at least one year.
I’ll make several articles (or babbling) comparing between them. Today, I’ll compare them in aspect of Installation.
When I saw the scanlation of it has finished several days ago at certain manga reading site, I remembered that I copied some of the chapters months ago.
Went reading it… and… finished in a blink (well, not really since I have to download manually from chapter 22).
So… it was good. Drama. Etc.
Not your usual love-drama though. As it involves something that’s not really common (in this type of manga, at least) which is, pregnancy. Sum tragic story about pregnancy. Or something.
The good (?) thing is, this manga doesn’t contain any fanservice which is pretty normal considering this is a shoujo manga 😛
It might even get localization here… probably. I’ll sure to buy it if actually released here.
Or it is already released…? O_O I don’t think it’s already released here though.
There’s this link for tutorial how to create secure and easy to remember passwords.
More or less it’s the same as the one I posted months ago, just now with character-to-symbol replacement method. Reducing the need to create unnecessary long sentence to get symbols etc.

From creator of Ichigo 100%, her latest manga series, Hatsukoi Limited, has been decided for its anime series.
From what I can remember when reading its first few chapters (months ago), there are, like, at least five different stories about five (going to be) couple that is somehow related with each other… Or something like that. Lol.

FYI, that’s the ending for Kamen Rider Kabuto. A tokusatsu tv series.
For some reason there are 5 series this season I watched as soon I get the file. Here they are:
- Strike Witches
- Koihime Musou
- Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiji Jikenbo
- Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
- Zero no Tsukaima – Princess no Rondo
They are chosen because… it’s for some reason subbed at decent pace. Well, Strike Witches is kinda special since it’s a same-day-subbed series…
Kara no Kyoukai getting official localization? o_O
Now I need cc. And the money.

It’s been a long time since I look forward to “next episode” this much.
As opposite to its anime (cabbage, anyone?), Yoakena’s graphic is very good (quality-wise) as it is August’s 😮
So it went like this:
Yoakena (PC – your usual galge) -> Yoakena -Crescent Love- (Anime – the cabbage) -> Yoakena (PS2 – OMFG Estel) -> Yoakena Moonlight Cradle (PC – now with Estel!)
Yeah. The PS2 adaptation is going to be ported back to PC with added scenes and scenes. 😀

*Yoakena = Yoake Mae yori Ruri-iro na
Update: it’s Estel, not Esteel 😮
Preliminary of Saimoe has ended! Now to the main tournament. I’m not going to rewrite craps about it so here are links instead:
We got some coverage!
Hur hur hur. Few mistakes here and there but the spirit is there. And in 2 editions 😀
They received “love letter”… 🙁

Moved to blog.animebsd.co.cc for some reason o_O
After staying in my bookshelf for, like, months. Continue reading
(I feel like flaming today)
So… certain fansub team decided to use a so-called transport stream source for their raw!
I hope she’ll show up again in other episodes… 😛
- Strike Witches: …well.
- Koihime Musou: yuri! Hahaha. I hope there will be more 😀
- Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: female otaku! Voice by Mamiko Noto!
- Zero no Tsukaima Season 3: from A to F (maybe? Or more?). Guess what 😀
- Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiji Jikenbo: yet another detective animu. I don’t know if the cases can be actually categorized as supranatural or not. They seem to give scientific justification for most parts.
- Ikkitousen Great Guardians: Woohoo. Where’s the fight, btw?
- Birdy the Mighty Decode: ..sub, anyone? ;_;
…only 7 series I’m currently following from this season o.o
May, or may not, add more.
Do NOT try administering a server which is located far away. Especially if it needs reboot. And not very important. 🙁
According to AkibaBlog, ToHeart2 AD OVA vol. 2 has been released. And apparently the main heroine this time is Tonami Yuma o/

*I was intending to write full steps for this and then too lazy to actually write it. So here’s the short summary
Valid without warning
Tarski theme is really good. You see, the theme is basically XHTML 1.1 valid (with little modification – the mime type (set to application/xhtml+xml), doctype (set to XHTML 1.1), and manually set
The problem is: AdSense and reCAPTCHA is gone o_o
Gotta check the source of the problem. Returning back to XHTML 1.0 Strict for now…
Update: most likely found the source of the problem. It’s unfixable though as the js is not on my site. [ Info ]
Yeah. This is it.
On other hand, here’s an example of acknowledgment page…
There are probably more links on comment page of the source.
